Database servers¶

In order to deploy a Magento installation, it needs to be backed by a database server. New servers can be provisioned through the Console (Services in the main menu, followed by clicking the + button and filling out the form).

You can also choose between different Server Types, this controls how much CPU, Memory and Disk is available on the server. TODO: Expand on this. Sebastian!

Creating a new server¶

Sign in to the Elastycloud Console.
Open Services in the main menu on the left.
Fill in form according to the instructions below, and press Create in the dialog box.

Name: Internal name for your own identification
Description: Description or notes about this server.
MySQL Version: The MySQL version you want to use.
Machine Type: This controls how much CPU, Memory and Disk is available on the server.
Maintenance - Day of Week: Select the Maintenance window that best suit your traffic pattern. All automated maintenance will be scheduled during this period. Note: Some downtime will occur during maintenance.
